Decoda returns to Camden, South Carolina for their 14th residency in the past five seasons. This trip includes a very exciting new project inside the largest maximum security correctional facility in South Carolina, Lee Correctional Institution.  Eight members of Decoda will be collaborating with 16-20 incarcerated men, writing new works for vocalists and the Schubert Octet instrumentation of string quintet, clarinet, bassoon, and horn.  

In addition, the ensemble will give community concerts at Morningside Assisted Living Facility, the Department of Disabilities of Kershaw County, and a free late-night show at the Venue on Broad Street.  The culminating chamber music performance will take place at the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County on Thursday, April 3rd, at 7PM.  Do not miss this fantastic program featuring music by Richard Strauss, Decoda's own, Brad Balliett, and Franz Schubert's epic Octet - your own personal mini-Decoda-orchestra!
